What makes our sausages so special?
Our unique family recipe, handed down the generations since 1881.
The best ingredients for sausage making: only FRESH, HAND-BONED, FREE RANGE PORK from BRITISH FARMS, which is butchered with care by ourselves, making sure we include ALL the prime cuts such as the loin and the leg, not just the cheaper cuts of belly and shoulder which most sausages are made from and DEFINITELY no trim or by-products!
Traditional Natural Casings.
We make our sausages FRESH DAILY and taste them, to ensure they are worthy of the POWTERS name.
As any chef knows, the secret of a great dish is its ingredients but just using 80 to 100% pork is not the best yardstick of quality because the recipe also relies on the texture, flavour and succulence of the combined ingredients. With over 80% meat, there is little room left for essential rusk and seasonings. If you are looking for 100% pork, buy a chop!
